How to change the icon for a file or folder in Windows?

To change the icon for a file or folder in Windows, follow these steps:

1. Right-click on the file or folder you want to change the icon for and select “Properties.”
2. In the Properties window, go to the “Customize” tab.
3. Click on the “Change Icon” button.
4. Browse for the icon you want to use or select from the icons that are displayed.
5. Click on “OK” to apply the new icon.
6. Click on “Apply” and then “OK” to close the Properties window.

Note: If you cannot find the icon you want to use, you can create or download an .ico file and use that as the icon. The size of the icon should be appropriate for the usage. For example, for Classic Mode, the full set is 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48 and 64x64.
